To the one I love.

To the one I love.

A Poem by Cadence of Heart

 She is my best friend,

but am I hers?

She is the one I can count on to be by my side.

Is she by mine?

She is the one i want to be with,

But does she want to be with me?

All these questions I want to ask her,

Does she like me?

Or does she see me only as a friend.

Who DOES she like?

Is he strong?

Is he handsome?

Is he the quiet one?

Is he me?

So many questions I want to ask, but...

Im afraid.

Afraid of the rejection.

Afraid of the answere.

Afraid that it'll ruin our relationship

Wait, did she blush when I asked her if she wanted to hang at my house?

Or was it just fantisy?

Did she...?

Or did she not....?

I am so confused,

I want to tell her,

My entire being aches for her answere,

Her soft lips against mine...

Her strong hands in mine...

The pleasure of calling her

mine.

But, alas, it wasn't meant to be.

Very well expressed, but i am sorry you had to realized it wasn't meant to be.

This is a wonderful write here. I like it classifies your feelings about love.

A very nice write of "seeking" while asking questions about a potential love! I liked the way you carried the question and answer theme throughout the poem.
Even though in the end, you accept that this love was not meant to be!
