The Time Is 2:44 AM

I got up and wrote this and the title tells you when and the poem will tell you why.

I think ( I know why ) I keep the T.V. on ...
I keep it on so I don't have to think.

( I can almost never stop thinking. )
Because when it's just me ...
( alone ) in the silence ( and the darkness ) ...

The voices are loud and clear,
( they're at war with each other )
and when they rage against each other,
they ( their deafening tones )
are all I can hear.

That's why I keep the T.V. on.

Like I said in the description, this is pretty much a rough piece and I plan on leaving it like that. I got up out of bed, grabbed a pencil and paper and wrote the words out of my head.
