The ending of The Fairy Tale

The ending of The Fairy Tale

A Poem by C. Mclaren
"

It's easy to read into what I am saying in this very short poem. We've all hit adulthood and gotten off the yellow brick road.

"

We built up a world of magic

we filled our whole world with lies,

it turned into nightmares

and killed all the butterflies.

Trying to live with honor

and die with some dignity,

it's all that's left

that matters at all to me.

I hope you can find yourself,

walk out of this place so misguided,

I hope the end of your tunnel has light

I know that the real world ain't bright,

but at least it comes with truth

and sometimes that's all you need

to make things right.

I hope that there's some day near

a time when we understand,

someone looking out for us

and all that our reason demands.
