WORTH THE WAIT

WORTH THE WAIT

A Poem by C. Mclaren
"

Something we can all relate to.

"

Platonic is the embrace I give you, held close to me in a way of care. I hope that I pull off what the situation calls for, at all of this I’m new. I hope that for what they did, I can bring some comfort to you.

This is a pure display of what seems to be incurable pain. Something so deep inside of you, that even ripping your own flesh is without emotion. It is a frightening thought and image you've managed to compose here.

I know that I cannot feel what you feel; I know that I cannot be in your mind. But I hope that you can somehow let me “In”, let me be the rock in the middle of your ocean of pain that you can cling to for salvation.

When in this moment of despair you call out, please bare my name in mind and hold to me dear. To you I give what I have in my heart for a friend to whom I live so far apart. Even though we may not touch for so long periods of time, in this time where we can finally hold close, for you I will give all I can as an emotional host.
