Something meaningful enough to be remembered even if no one else sees or understands it.

You are the definition of A STAR.

Something that burns bright long after it's flame has been extinguished.
If there is a reason why our species continues, you are part of it.
Something that burns bright,
bright enough for its' light to be seen by the universe.
 
If there is reason to go on, it is because of life like you.
And if this light has any power,
it is shown in it's ability to halt a divine creator from raining deserved destruction
down upon a flawed invention.
While you are not perfect, you are powerful and your light carries on.
It carries us.
You are one of few but your existence enlightens many.
And even when this world no longer knows your name,
take pride in knowing that your light still covers it.

You have given me sudden realization of truth,
not my first epiphany,
but one I am comforted in knowing.

I am privileged to have looked upon you.
If there is even a shard of light remaining in my eyes,
I know why it is there.
Your light indeterminately burning.
