Plagued by DemonsA Poem by Cristina FrostA poem I wrote out of depressionThey say that the eyes are the gate way to the soul… Well my soul is plagued with demons One would develop each school year and find its home in my soul. They would grow…grow by feeding off my fear, pain and torment They would just keep getting bigger and bigger…feeding… Just like demonic parasites… By the time I was in my last year I was just a hollow shell Wearing a “Mask of Happiness” A “Mask of Happiness” to deceive To deceive and convince everyone I was a happy free-spirited girl. But deep inside, that’s a different story… Inside was a depressed dark girl haunted by demons But now I have graduated, I freed myself of some demons But there are some that I will never get rid of. These are the ones that that imbedded themselves deep within… Deep within the chambers of my soul. © 2012 Cristina FrostAuthor's Note
