My style of writing is allowing the reader more insight based on add reference material. In these reference chapters you will get brief looks into the greater history and issues.

Search: How did magic come back into our world?

Magic came back into the world sometime during WWII. Some theorize Hitler's minions found a well of Occult power that infected the world. Others say the detonation of an atomic bomb did something to either humans and/or earth it's self. Here at the World  History Guild we believe based on the Myths and Legends of our world clearly state magic was around at some points of our past. To date nobody knows how magic came back for certain.

Search: When did magic users appear after WWII?

First known was recorded was in 1952. Popular myth says a guild rose to protect the magic users. Some say it was to kill them. Those in the guild knew it was a bit of both. Protect the Magi that are friendly and kill those who would use power to dominate. The Guild saw a rise of Magic users increased from .01% in 1952 to 5% in 2000. That's some where near 3 million in 2000. Accounts between 2000 and 2040 are still being researched due to WWIII also called The Mage War. Note: Some magic users were so low level, such as phyics the Guild dismissed them. Other were powerful and became legends to tell children at bed time.

Butane Blaze, a pyromacer able to burn the flesh from bones. The Wizard, for whom all wizards are typed, could do almost anything with spells. These kinds of magic users were classified as Spell-Swords and Wizards. Spell-Swords tend to be born with powers defined and rarely changing. The power is controlled be emotion and physical control. Powers are forms of the magic elements and classified as Pyromacy(fire), Aeromacy(air), Geomancey(Earth), Hydromancy(Water), Soulmancy(Spirit). Note: People with Soulmancy can be in the forms of Healing, Necromancy and Anti-Magic. Also very hard to define in understandable terms.

Wizard ability's are vast and diverse. The only condition is spells take a lot of practice to preform even the basics. Spells range from wards that protect against magic or keep it contained to violent evocations of elemental power. (Note: Not to confuse the two classes of magic users the usage is different. Wizards fire does not act as true fire but is controlled by the combine willpower and understanding of physics. EXP: An evocation will move and act to it's surroundings as realistically as the users has knowledge of said evocation.) Evocation is magic based on physics and connections in our world. Evocation Sub-Classes are Thaumaturgy, Alchemy, Destruction, Enchantments and Necromancy.

Note: As the Mage's Guild learns and defines the laws of magic the World History Guild will update this information. Magic is new to us and Magi who wield it and the Mage's Guild wishes to express that when choosing a vocation as a wizard it takes years of research and control to perfect any skill.

Legend: The Guild was a society of humans that believe magic existed in the world. The were said to search out any known use of magic. Rumored to be around 1 thousand years old and lead by an immortal known as The Rogue. Before the war the Guild is said to have protected Magi by relocating them out of the normal population. Modern: The Guild came to be in the modern world as the new version of the Agency or CIA in the aftermath of WWIII. In response to the Red Plague, a virus that turned the infected into a raging beast, the Guilds network was able to help contain the plague with the North American Union and came to be the NAU intelligence agency. Now the back bone of the United American Union supporting the military and all law enforcement agency's.

Search: WWIII? Short Version!

WWIII is noted to have started officially on April 25 2018 with the invasion of the United states from Russia and China. The use of strategic EMP's and Tactical Nuclear Warheads lead to an instant panic. American troops split into homeland troops and offshore. Offshore troop were given aid by Australia then spent most of the war fighting to keep Japan from fully scumming to Chinese invasion On October 17 2019 the North American Union(NAU) was formed from what was left of Canada and America. At that time the capital city was the 2 city's of Niagara Falls. Washington D.C. was destroyed by a TNW. Russian and Chinese troops made it all the way to Pennsylvania and New York border before suffering the first known outbreak off the Red Plaque. At this time Magic user had been force into the open. (Most Notably Butane Blaze, The Wizard, Earth Mother, Paladin, Renegade, Silver Wolf, and the rumored Rogue of the Guild.) The War between the North American Union and Russian/Chinese forces ended officially on January 1 2025. The term Mage war was given to the large army of magic users that marched across the North American continent. The North American Union was not sated by the ending of the war. Carrying the fight first supporting the Japanese front who was still occupied by Chinese forces. Also the NAU head south re enforcing Cuba and a mixed match of country's who helped support the NAU fight. By 2068 the whole of North, Central, and South America was under a single flag.

Europe suffered greatly as the middle east erupted into war in August of 2018. Iran with the Taliban and the middle eastern coalition bombed the EU destroying every capital city within hours of one another. England to busy with fighting on the front lines, turned there backs on American interests and war effort. As the German war engine once again started up they found allies in nations who knew all to well what German engineering could accomplish. The whole of Europe with the German spear head and efforts from India and African country's pushed the three main powers of the war Russia, China and Iran into a stale mate in summer of 2031. The war lasted 13 years and forever changed earth.

Magi fought on every front of the war. In the end the population of earth was reduced from 6.4 billion in 2017 to 3.5 billion in. Almost half the world population was killed by War, Famine, Plaque. The United Nation reformed without the North American Union and Japan who by 2068 became known with Central and South America as The United America Union. (Note: The United American Union to this day does not stray from it boarders. In 2080 a Cuban writer made the official trade mark of The UAU. It read "All Americans far and wide, birthed in hell or just living there, Freedom is here in the land of our hearts, It's Time To Come home.")

There still is a lot of resentment toward the United Nations from the UAU. Three attempts since 2070 were made to break the UAU up and to join the UN. The most famous was the 2082 attempted assassination of the Japan President Azami Hayashi. The assassins who were caught were publicly executed and given to the UN representatives to publicly carry as all UN personnel was deported back to there respected countries. No UN presence was allowed back in UAU till September 11th 2102. No diplomatic immunity is given.

This is to give a bit more context to the future chapters. The term Magi is being used as a type of person. I this world that will start in 2113 there a 2 types of people Humans and Magi.
