INDULGENCE

INDULGENCE

A Poem by C.O.B

It is strange the passion and desired behind a kiss
It is a sense of bliss that we miss if it is not received.
Something so simple can make us believe in who we are
In what we do
It lets us know that maybe we’re not so bad after all.
That all those times that we would fall and fail in our youth
was just a rough path to the truth of who we are.
That each and every battle scar of rejection
leads us to look upon with reflection
the mistakes we have made in the past.
That each one will strengthen the cast around our heart,
Showing us a new place to start when we address the feeling of lust.

And address it we must.
It is not enough to just trust that all will be just fine.
That in time we will find “The One”.
Maybe some nights we just want to have fun,
and indulge in who we are.
Let us indulge too far and make a mistake out of enjoyment
rather than out of fear.
This is what I want to make clear.
I am not looking for love.
I am not looking for life.
I am looking for a moment,
shared on a lonely night.
