Madness

Madness

A Poem by C.O.B

I can’t have a conversation with my friends,
But I can text them.
She can’t afford to buy a new phone,
But he can buy three.
John can’t marry Mike,
But he can Mary.
We can’t cure hunger,
But we can build skyscrapers.
They can’t cure cancer,
But they can kill us all.
One can’t know all
But one can know what they are told.
Some can’t get enough,
But most can get nothing.
We can’t have a perfect world,
Can we.
