Sparkles in the Twilight Blue

Sparkles in the Twilight Blue

A Poem by C.M. Waters
"

I was walking along a path at night, thinking about life, when I looked up at the stars. Suddenly, my inspiration struck. Enjoy!

"
Sparkles in the twilight blue,
The dazzle of stars everywhere I look,
Some bright, some dim,
All part of the big picture.
They say that when I'm lost
In the darkness of the night,
I must choose one lone star,
Follow one lone star,
And find my way home once again.
But alas, every time I choose,
Every time I follow,
That one star I follow,
Vanishes.
Diminishes.
Falls.
Am I to choose another?
Am I to follow another?
Or is every star
Meant to die out?

it's a lovely melancholy musing~ seems that way sometimes~ just when you are about to grasp a star space blinks and swallows it up~ beautiful metaphor~
