Endgame

Endgame

A Poem by Chenin Marie

Isn't it lovely this charade we endorse
When we refuse to let go once loves run its course

Youre just a pawn but I'm only a rook
An empty stem with a stamen after the petals you took

But there are plenty of bees left to pollinate me
And numerous sharks still left in the sea

I'll bloom once again, won't care if its spring
For all the love I've had, hasn't meant a thing

'But there are plenty of bees left .. .. '

This is like biting off the head of a chocolate rabbit then chewing very slowly! Said as meant, meant as done, over, gone. Goodbye.

This is really powerful stuff. Like finding your true self again and being surer of who you are.

Nice writing.
