Misplaced

Misplaced

A Poem by Chenin Marie
"

This is unfinished but will suffice for now.

"
I dream of cutting the ties
But the rope is intertwined,
    with knots and frays
overlapping itself,
The only thing keeping me
   from falling into the chasm.
I can see the paint chipping from the walls
   the walls I put up
and my thoughts are like ether
   stripping away the layers.
I like the way the paint looks
   all distressed and broken.
Sometimes I peel off the chips
and save them in a small pile
on the edge of the black hole.
But being lost has lost it's charm
