Hopeful and Rested

Hopeful and Rested

A Poem by Chenin Marie

Hopeful when I'm hopeless and rested when I'm restless. Maintain a tough exterior and watch as I get tested. Negativity preys on the weak but I radiate the positive and I've almost hit my peak. No censor when I speak, my mind is like a puzzle and my words are where it leaks. Just an open canvas waiting for some paint. I've had some wounds and bruises but none deep enough to stain. Hopeful and rested, empowered by questions, now play it all back section by section.
