Good-bye Spring Mourning

With Spring, comes reminders from the past. Here is to letting go and remembering the joy this season used to bring.

As the seasons change,

from Winter's deathly slumber

to the earth's rebirth in Spring.

With the changing tides,

breathes in memories of long since past.

Bittersweet images come flooding back,

kissing those halcyon days good-bye.

As the earth had awakened from its long repose,

he fell into eternal slumber's rest.

He closed his eyes forever

while the earth was beginning to open hers.

This Spring I am letting him go,

so that we can dance amongst the flowers

celebrating your life.

This Spring I say to you.....

Aa. This is what Spring means to me this year. I wrote it for a contest....which I'm really mad at right now because it's limited to 100 words...max. There was another part I wanted to add but couldn't 'cause of it. *grumbles about stupid word limits*
