Martin Niemöller revisited

Martin Niemöller revisited

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

First they came for the undocumented and I did not speak out because I was not undocumented.
Then they came for the Muslims and I did not speak out because I was not a Muslim.
Then they came for the "unAmericans" and I did not speak out because I was not unAmerican.
Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak for me.

About
I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
