The hill

The hill

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

What is that hill?
That distills
Someone to want to take
Their own to make
When the other person
Is slain for certain
That their heart
Isn't as good as the top part
Of a pile of dirt
Shouldn't we want to skirt
Things that make us feel discomfort
So the other doesn't suffer
The hill is a lonely place
Just so we can save face
Throwing away what we have, to risk
When we need to be brisk
Love one another
Be their for each other
Even when we dont want to
Its simple to do
Better for us if we don't use our horrible skills
Cuz we Both end up dying on that hill
