This Knight and You

This Knight and You

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

This knight
Has seen many slights
Some of these
Even though they all displease
Others have sewn
But some of them are my own
My armor nowhere near
The pristine state of a cavalier
No longer shiny
A little brimy
Holds the scars
Of numerous spars
Chivalry diluted
It's honor polluted
From the cloudy shade
Of walls displayed
This tired state of a man
Has seen that he can
Be reborn
Rise from the scorn
When heaven sent
I knew I had a chance to repent
Its angel so true
You

A musical poem, rhythm start to finish, not slam,, not ersatz. but.. on the move, meant to be swayfully shared!.

'Chivalry diluted - It's honor polluted - From the cloudy shade - Of walls displayed - This tired .. .. '
