Sometimes I Feel

Sometimes I Feel

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

Sometimes I feel
That I am a heel
Walking through a haze
And unending maze
Every turn I can take
Turns out to be fake
I'm glued down
Never going to be found
Searching for what's absolute
My cries for help, mute
My strength and resilience
Seems to be oblivious
No matter what I achieve
My salvation deceives
Hope fading
Faith swaying
Is it time to be vanquished
My time to be extinguished
But then you arrive
Giving me potency to thrive
I am a new person
A better version
Just from the thought of you
Your beauty and amazement shining anew

About
I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
