Devotion

Devotion

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

It can be a decree
Measured in degrees
Reason for great deeds
The basis behind creeds
The cause of crusades
The curse of the weighed
Causes men to be gods
Even though they are flawed
Weak men crumble
From trying it and fumble
Their sanity and mind
By being in a bind
From the loyalty it demands
The life it commands
It's only for the deranged
How events have arranged
This sanctified notion
Undying Devotion

About
I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
