The Gym

The Gym

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

It's a home away from home
It can certainly turn into a syndrome
It heals not just the physique
Brings you to your peak
It's a form of therapy
Brings the mind clarity
Not only muscles are gained
Friendships can be attained
Its also a brotherhood
Brings together a neighborhood
People who don't go
Really don't know
The true benefits
And how it resonances
With the soul and mind
Heals not just the maligned
It's a natural narcotic
People can think you are psychotic
But the advantages
Heal your bandages
To all the haters
And all the naysayers
Maybe they don't understand
How it can expand
And how the shoddy dims
By going to the gym

About
I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
