Depressed

Depressed

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

Is there any recourse
To stop the discourse
Of the different routes
You could have took
To keep yourself inoculated
From the things that keep you weighted
The lover that leaves
The friend who deceives
The parents who aren't there
Is it ever fair
Any path we take
We are at the mercy of fate
It seems to be out of our control
Even when it comes to our soul
We lack the mastery
To own us and To really be
The one who pulls the strings
To be our own king
All we can do
Is try to get through
And hope we get blessed
And be no longer depressed

I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
