When your heart hurts
You go numb and inert
Hopelessness and despair
Is all that you are aware
Life ceases
Existence decreases
Things that meant
Have all went
The ache is absolute
You feel destitute
Stricken with grief
You hope It's brief
But it never fails
To no avail
To be ever present
To be ever frequent
It's paralyzing
It's demoralizing
Agony asserts
