Perfect Match

Perfect Match

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

The impeccable match
Isn't always the perfect catch
Sometimes the downcasts
Are more prevalent than their contrast
The differences however strange
Can be the things that cause us to change
Look at that one as THE one
The one that we long for
The one that we can't wait to store
In our life and in our memories
That we would be missing
Something inside if we weren't kissing
As weird and counterintuitive as it might be
You always come to see
This one that begs to be cast aside
Is the one that we are beside
For it's what feels right
This perfect match is finally seen in the light

I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
