Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

Is one day enough to declare
How one feels and to bare
What is deep inside a soul
It can make you whole
Giving into the want
Becoming a savant
In the ways of passion
Cause love to come into fashion
Cause a light to be struck
Cause one to use up all their luck
What does one do
When existence becomes miscue
From the overwhelming of emotion
From this new devotion
That I have for you only
Thinking to myself I can't be lonely
In the way I feel
Knowing you have to have the same zeal
Maybe all we need
Is to take this day and heed
Our true desire
Throwing away everything that was prior
And to take the time to say
How we feel on this Valentine's Day

About
I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
