A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

Everyone on earth
Everyone who has ever been birthed
Is thrust into a starting position
Whether we like it or not
We will be put on the spot
Do we want to prevail?
Become an all-star?
Or a journeyman, who sets the bar?
Who tells us we have to play?
That we have to stay?
Do we give in or overcome?
Fade away or beat the winning drum?
The hype is real
It's our choice to capture and steal
May we always aim
To seize every frame
Keep the burning flame
The hopelessness we have to tame
Conquer the craziness of fame
Of the greatest game

About
I'm just a regular guy. I like writing short letters and poems describing my emotions. I can be intense, whether it's positive or negative. I seem to suffer from insomnia alot. more..
