True heart

True heart

A Poem by Caleb Aquilino

Sometimes I wish you would let down the walls.
That surround your heart.
Not the one that you give to your friends and family.
But the one that is deep inside
The heart which you don't let anyone see and hide.
From being with you, talking with you, experiencing you
I know you are a beauty, a strong gentle woman
One that should be cherished and adored
Treated as an equal and always explored
You don't know your worth
Even though it's been with you since birth
If I am so lucky, to be the one you deem worthy
It would make the best romancing story
Of how one fortunate man
Was able to set free the most beautiful part
Of the most beautiful woman
And praise her and show her
How she should be treated, forever.

Very beautiful expressions coming from your heart to that woman that doesn't quite know her worth, but you are able to see all of her fine qualities and put them down in verse. Very sensitive and excellent read. Thank you for sharing, Caleb...
