Everything

Everything

A Chapter by Celeste Lucy Zaveri
"

“Everything’s about being yourself. Be playful, be protective, be wise, be bad. Be everything. Be all four.” -KC

"

They say I’m too motherly,
They say I’m too innocent
They say I’m too old-fashioned
They say I’m a real Maleficent

It’s as if nothing I do,
can do anything to you

As if I’m too above,
Too below,
My world’s bump-a-bump

I’m the girl of this world
I’m the babe of this place
I am the all, the everything
I am the good, I am the bad,
I am the something, the nothing
The woman,
The young’un,
The darkness,
The crone

With this trait,
I’m alone

Everything’s a curse

Something you just rehearse

Then you obey and play

Every game of the day

Nothing’s a teenage dream

It’s a blurred prism

I’m not one of the folks

They have the mundane in them

I’m the girl of this world
I’m the babe of this place
I am the all, the everything
I am the good, I am the bad,
I am the something, the nothing
The woman,
The young’un,
The darkness,
The crone

With this trait,
I’m alone

Back off and let me be four people
I’ll climb every mortal-made steeple

Back off and let me be four people
I’ll climb every mortal-made steeple

I’m the girl of this world
I’m the babe of this place
I am the all, the everything
I am the good, I am the bad,
I am the something, the nothing
The woman,
The young’un,
The darkness,
The crone

With this trait,
I’m alone
