Angeline Learns a Lesson From Gaia

Angeline Learns a Lesson From Gaia

A Story by Celeste Lucy Zaveri
"

Angeline goes astral-traveling and learns a lesson from the goddess Gaia about respecting the earth and being kind to the environment. This won 1st Place in the "Members" Contest.

"

Angeline Q. Zaveri was astral-traveling one again, where she left her body and became a spirit. Today she was going to see Gaia and learn an important lesson. She saw Gaia crying and said: “What’s is wrong? I don’t get it! In this wonderful, good-hearted Spirit World, only happiness goes along!”

Gaia looked over. “Angeline, it is you. You are my new student. Can that be true? Are you the Angeline, the best Angeline Q. Zaveri you can possibly be?”

Angeline nodded. “Please tell me a lesson. It’ll explain why you’re crying, or at least that’s what I’m guessing.”

“Let’s go on a field trip where you shall learn more. You shall learn this lesson, and shall get to explore.” Gaia led Angeline to a place of beauty and more beauty, an excellent space.

“Gaia,” said Angeline, “so why are you crying? Should I be also? Tell me the truth, I know you would never be lying.”

“Because there is litter, rudeness and more. How can a kind, loving earth feel glory like she did once before?” Gaia led Angeline to a place even more beautiful than it at first seemed. It was lady in a ship’s form. Maybe she’d learn something important, or more.

“Where are we sailing?” asked Angeline. “And why?”

“Because you’ll enjoy the scenery,” replied Gaia. “Here is what happened:

“The humans have littered, polluted, and even worse! They’ve hunted done my poor Children Animals and are sometimes mean to one another. They cannot be fair to Gaia, their Great Mother. It is not nice, nor is it wise. This is why many times I cry.

“They have not apologized, even though many try to right the past wrongs. But that is not enough. We need goodness from them all.

“Many of your kind mistreat me, yet I forgive you. You’re innocent"I know it to be true. In fact, many are good, caring, and kind. Many are loving, with hearts and souls that glow and shine. They are good, but alas, many are not. This is why I cry. Because I’m not completely treated right.

“This is the story of why I always cry, and although I don’t feel perfect, however I try.”

“Oh, Gaia, that’s horrible! It isn’t fair! I want to stomp…how evil, humans don’t care!” Angeline was mad at the treatment of the earth. With reason, with reason, with reason of course.

Gaia finally said, “But I’ll be alright. If you can convince the goodness to be brought into all kind. Rainbows, many rainbows could every day form, if humans were good, of course.”

“Gaia, why stand there when so much bad is done?” asked Angeline. “Surely, oh, surely, that can’t be fun!”

“It isn’t enjoyable, that I can see,” said Gaia unhappily. “But I can’t harm them"they’re my children…

“Won’t you help make a stand? Stop the bad and do something grand?”

“Yes,” promised Angeline. “But let’s see what the Zodiacs say of this"do they agree?”

“Anything spiritual surely would,” said Gaia as gently as she could.

“Sorry to be rude,” said Angeline, “but I’m going unicorn racing!”

“No, Angeline,” said Gaia gently. “Your parents are wanting you awake. Return to your human body and end the astral-traveling. You have duties back with my Human Children.”

Angeline didn’t want to return. She didn’t want to leave the Spiritual Life of which she’d learned. “Must I go? Already? No, no! I want to play with the unicorns!”

“Sorry,” said Gaia. “Yet you must. Go. Go. Sorry, yet it is a rush. Return and help Mother Gaia"do something to bring pride to the earth back with the humans. Goodbye.”

And off Angeline went to live a human life…and share the journey she’d had.

I believe the story is trying to teach kindness and caring of the earth. I think this story was written to try to persuade and encourage people to help and treat Mother Gaia better. This myths moral was kindness and caring of the earth. This story gave me inspiration for MY stories, and to take a deeper look at how I personally treat Earth. I felt very moved by this story. It put me to tears. I don't ever want to litter, or even kill a bug ever again. I want to pick up trash and protect creatures. If I was Angeline, I would feel guilty for my species. If I were Gaia, I'd feel mad, and sad that my children would treat me this way. And yes, I would love to read another Angeline Q. Zaveri story. I treat my rat and every animal like they are my equal, because they ARE.
I give 99/100 for this story.

This is very moving. You did a wonderful job. I love that you used one of earths many name in a form other then it's self.if that makes sense. I believe it is tryingredients to teach us to be kinder to the earth because she is are life giver. For all of the living things of earth's good even our own. That we treat the earth badly and it is not wise for us to do so. That the earth is the only home we have. Because you felt like the earth was being mistreated and wanted to tell the world that. That the earth needs to be saved or we will doom it and our selfs. By mistreating the earth. That the earth crystal because man is unfair to there other living being on the earth. That we take and take but only give a little.that more needs to be kind or it cuts out the good. I was inspired to do more then what I already do to help make the Earth a better place for our kin. It said that more good needs to be donearly so I going to do more goof. Yes I was very moved by this story.I feel mad that I am one of the few that true lyrics care about the earth. I feel like i should force people to love the earth. As Gaia I feel used and abused.I feel like my children have lost there way. That man is the child that my be the bad egg. But I still love all of my kids. I could never harm them.but I feel said because they do not feel the some. Five and a half out of six. That's only because you can always make something better that beats your own older work.I am giving you 99 out of 100 because I liked it buto it was so good it was sort if you know what I mean. I am looking forward to many more story's from you. You did a wonderful job. Thank you so very much for sharing your work with us! I just loved every single word!

This is a pretty good plot but I feel like the writing was too close to one another but overall awesome.

An invaluable lesson of the most important aspect.
Giving a damn.

Sometimes it would be easier to escape, to just watch out for yourself.
It is the men and women who sacraficed their own well being for others that will be remembered.
It's not easy to advocate for not using oil, for not exerting the dominance we have on this planet.

Honestly, alot of people talk and act as if mankind is ruining the earth.
And they are, But in recent years, so many people talk about it. So many people care. So many people act. In my country 90% of the households have Solar panels on their houses used for hot water. Almost every street has a recycling bin. Almost every business strictly recycles paper, bottles, glass and plastic.

Maybe it's too late.
Maybe it's hopeless.
But at least we'll do what we can with the time we have left.

Your story left us with alot to think about, talk about, and mull over.
That's the best effect a story can have in my opinion.

People should treat the earth with respect. Many do, but many don't.
