Toxic Gay Love

Toxic Gay Love

A Poem by CLR9
"

just my feelings...I'm so mad right now!

"
Ignore my messages
it's not good to be ignored
like I'm some kind of
daydream you had
and then walked away
you call me gay
I am queer
but I do not
have fear
I am my own
I am my own man
at the end of the day
self worth is the way
you missed out
fine then
bye betch

Good rant, Poet 😜

Most all of us could do with one every now and again.
Sadly, it's often a hard lesson love and relationships teach, and there's no contract or promise (even if made in earnest) that one truly knows they can keep … life's just too unpredictable, but we need closeness so much we take a chance, over and over, swearing each time we'll never do "that" again.
I think you hit the mark, M'Friend … it's self-worth that keeps us looking, but being wiser and more discerning each time who we pair-up with and trust our hearts to.
Nice line-breaks, the heart of all good Free Verse … I like the way you spelled "betch/b***h".

An olde story I know all too well.
Thanks again, for sharing! ⁓ Richard 🍃
