Walk V

By: Chase L. Currie

The sweat cloaked her body

In the depths of the steamboat

The engine furnaces

Of the slaves of Rome

                In those bath houses

She danced for us

Her long black hair

                Running down the river

                Of her back like

                The serpent of Eve

Her tight coal hue

Skin croon in the bareness of

                Sin

She wore heels to her knees

She winked at me

Blew me a kiss from Hell

This sickness took hold

My weak soul broke

                All of the world won

When my rotten bones woke

                Hands mar from the act

I sat in the bed

                Sweat soak sheets

Watching the first rays of gold

Lost in abhor truth of

                My mind
