Note Twenty-Eight

Note Twenty-Eight

A Poem by CLCurrie

Note Twenty-Eight

Draft 2

By: Chase L. Currie

Your first kiss

Will be with

You until

The moonless grave

                “kiss an angel then,”

And yet,

                I kissed the Night

Blemishing the ticker in my cage

Forever and ever and ever …

it isn't just the lips that remember the first kiss.

the heart does as well...I remember mine...grade school, maybe 6th grade, the woods by our Catholic grade school, confession the next day, but with a smile.
I appreciate this.
