i like your style, the short lines, perfect breaks, gives that offbeat rhythm...
i like the imagination in dreams, but the dread of waking up to a reality that is different, scary.
almost like a vampire thrives in the night, but disintegrates in the light. We see him for who he really is.
And the tomb references remind me of a cross between Poe and Dickinson.

Two sides of the coin. A poem of contrasts. Light and dark. I really enjoyed the light part, especially in the context of the current climate. Live for the moment. Uplifting. The darkness I'll keep on hold.
Around the middle of this poem is the italicized line "enjoy this moment." In those three words lies a whole school of spiritual philosophy. For this moment is all we are and all we have, a thread that runs through both eastern and western belief systems. Though a series of dark images follows the line, the poem ends on an upbeat note. Good work.

I'm trying to be a bit more upbeat in my poems as of late. I also been digging into scriptures lately seeing where it say to only worry about today or gives us our daily bread. It is helping me to see a lot about what is going on in my life right now. Not saying it is meaning for you to be Hellenistic in "enjoy this moment" but mostly to say, this is all you have because tomorrow the Lord could call you home. It was kind of the idea of working with in the poem.
