Joplin MO, 05/22/2011A Poem by Decdreams87
He struck without hesitation;
A force field spiraling a twist of devastation. The people's fate was carved in stone The moment the twister had risen. In Joplin, Home was where the heart was; Homes that offered no protection. In a simple weather change A town's peace was interrupted. No prayers were answered, No miracles prevailed, No God had saved lives In that lively rural town. The twister came, a turn for the worse, And brought Joplin to its knees- And then in a hearse. © Christopher Rossi June, 2011 © 2011 Decdreams87 |
