Chapter 7: KaiA Chapter by CJP.LangenI put Allen Roosveld in the car and walk around the car to take my place next to my father. He was mad, madder I have seen before. I thought I would be the only one making him this mad. Guess the little one was one level ahead of me. I smiled, that one was feisty.
I looked back at the thought of her. She looked stunning confronting my father. I never saw one doing it and walked away to tell it. But then, she was human. Hurting a human was against Pack Law. My father wasn’t far away from breaking that one law, that shouldn’t be broken. Luckily old Forn intervened, I wasn’t far away to do the same. If my father would have made one more mistake in hurting her, I think I would have jumped between them. Disregarding any duty I held.
In a split second our eyes locked. I felt a power washing over me, something clicking into place. My wolf stirred, alerting and seeking the source of the power.
It’s her Kai, our Chosen!
I had difficulties in restraining him. She was human, a human! She wasn’t a shifter like us, it’s impossible.
No, she’s not. She’s human. Humans can’t be mated I confronted him. It was more for me than for him. I had to admit, she was stunning. Her brown hair blew up, kissing the wind. Her hazel brown eyes full of intelligence and strength. Not to mention her body. She was curvy at the right places. Round hips made her fit for werewolf cups and well her breasts should fit just in my hands. I had to look away. I only saw her one second and knew she was mine.
Ours, Kai. Ours.
“Yeah, ours.” I said.
“Did you say something, Kai?” My father asked.
“Huh, no I didn’t,” I replied.
How would my father cope with the thought of a human in our ranks? I had to smile. My father was a proud man. Although he didn’t inherited the title of Alpha by birthright, he inherited it by combat. He challenged the last Alpha, who was too old to begin with, and won. He was Alpha for twenty years now. I one day would inherit the title from my father, but for now my mind wasn’t ready for that title. I first had to graduate at Red Street College. I hated the courses, I hated the sucking up to me. All the Pack members wanted to be my friend, because of my status one day. All the girls wanted to mate- or tried to, with me. None of them sparked a fire in my wolf or me.
“Kai, did you hear me?” My father said as he slapped me out of my thoughts.
“Sorry Alpha, I didn’t” I said with remorse.
“I swear to god, what’s wrong with today! Everyone is not listening to me. Denise harbors an outsider, then she makes trouble. I swear that family is trouble. Her sister, what was her name again?”
“Alpha, maybe the girl couldn’t go somewhere else. Maybe Denise had no choice. You never asked Denise.” I defended.
“Ah. Ellen was it? Yes Ellen. That Impure one. If that’s the daughter of Ellen, well I suppose this Pack is going to have trouble.” He smiled.
“How so?”
“Legends say that an Impure child will bring havoc to the Pack. Plus she’s human. There was no shifter scent. Which makes her well unsuitable to be on Pack ground.”
“Alpha, maybe you should calm down a bit. Let everything sink in.”
“And who are you to give me orders. I am your Alpha and father!” He yelled.
“Kai, I think you should back off. That little biatch of a daughter pissed a lot of people today.” Allen said in the backseat.
“And you shut up!” I shouted back. “You have no say in anything!”
My father eyed my wary, but didn’t say anything.
We arrived at the main house and my father stepped out of the car, heading to Allen.
“Get out” he commanded.
Allen stepped out and stood loosely on the ground. I also stepped out and walked to the pair.
“I will bring him to the holdings. You should go to mom.”
“Yes, I’ll do that.” My father walked to the house, opened the door where my mother already was waiting for him. She already should have known something was wrong.
“Kai, you should join us later.” My mother said through a private connection.
“I will” I replied back, closed the connection and pushed Allen forwards.
“Let’s go” I said.
Allen smiled satisfied.
“Why are you smiling?” I asked, uncomfortable with it.
“Nothing” he said.
“Fine, suit it yourself.” I shrugged.
“Oh I will” he smiled wider.
Jerk.

I returned after Allen was put into a cell, still uncomfortable that he kept smiling.
Leave him alone. He’s a rogue. He’s nothing. Let’s hurry. This day has to end soon. I want to dream! My wolf said happy.
Yeah yeah, be patient. We have to come up with a plan. And soon. But first my dad needs to calm down. He has to accept her.
He doesn’t have to! She’s ours and if Alpha doesn’t accept her, we’ll make him! My wolf roared.
Calm down! You’re showing. We have to keep it under the radar. I will talk to my mom for advice.
Yes, yes, do that. But soon. I want to be near her.
Patience, patience. I said, making him calm.
My wolf settled again as I entered my parents office.
“Hi” I said as I settled down at my chair. My parents gave me a place to work since I would take over the Pack one day. The room was decorated by my mother. My father didn’t bother with decorating so my mom put her mark on it. Oak desks with leather chairs, bookcases surrounding the walls, light drapes decorated the windows. It wasn’t my taste, but who was I to judge the female Alpha’s.
“Your father informed me of an accident at Denise’s place. What happened?” She leaned against my father calming him down. Wolves had the tendency in needing contact others when they were angry or had any other strong emotions.
“I don’t know what dad already told you but here is my point of view. We were heading home as dad received a call from Denise stating Allen Roosveld breached her home. Dad immediately sent James Pitters over to help the first wave as we were still five minutes away. Knowing Roosveld could be dangerous, he didn’t want Denise to be alone much longer. When we arrived at the scene, James had Roosveld pinned against the wall and Denise and a g..., I almost choked, I didn’t know her name! My mom eyed me, saying nothing “Girl on the ground. At first they seemed alright so my father stopped the fight between James and Roosveld. He assessed the situation when Roosveld didn’t followed the commands given to him. Dad threw him outside, while James took care of the Denise and the girl.” I took a deep breath and spoke again.
“When outside, I pinned Roosveld down as people came to watch was going on. A few moments later the girl came outside, yelling to stop. Dad on the other hand didn’t listen and tried to pin her down with the Alpha strength, she didn’t butch. Then Denise came and begged not to punish her because she didn’t do anything. Then Denise didn’t stop begging so dad made her stop. Because Denise didn’t do anything, the girl kicked dad.” My mom sniffed and motioned me to go on.
“As I said, she kicked him and dad let go of Denise, focusing on the girl. She made challenging gestures but didn’t attack. I bet she thought Denise was in danger. Then there was a dialogue between Dad and Denise when her focus was on Roosveld and me. Dad slammed her and pined her down, she didn’t budge, broke free and then Elder Forn intervened. That’s the whole story.”
Not all, tell her. My wolf said, nudging my mind.
No now.
“Is that everything?” she eyed me, as she knew I held something back.
“Yes, that’s all.” I said too soon. I saw she didn’t believe me, but she knew there would be a reason behind it, so she didn’t push.
“Okay, seems to me the girl didn’t do anything wrong. There shall not be a heavy penalty, but should be one. Although she isn’t Pack, she opposed the Alpha. Although she didn’t know, she should have known your father was a high ranking person inside the community.” My mom said as a knock on the door broke our conversation.
“Enter” my dad said. We all looked at the door.
