Sweet Dreams

Sweet Dreams

A Poem by Corina Jean

Watch as I follow my sweet dreams
Watch as you simply fall asleep
Watch me fly away from my screams
Watch as you lie down and count sheep
Watch me as my big smile gleams
Watch, your smile is not to keep
Watch as my heart, soul and mind, beam
Watch as you, and him, and her weep

The sky is the limit for me
While you sit and stare and observe
I simply wait and 'let it be'
While you anticipate a swerve
I follow my heart, and grin with glee
And, yet you let this thought preserve
While I lead the thought of happy
Your heart, soul, and mind have no verve

Your mind is a broken record
While mine has more of a meaning
Yours full of many dull, sad chords
Happiness has not sought weaning

May, one day you will come follow
But, I will sit and wait for you
May, your soul become not hollow
Sit and wait, and not say adieu

To follow your heart is the way

So, go follow, find your own way

Wauw, this was beautiful. Rhythm, deepness, meaning, rhyme... it's got it all. A 100/100 for you, Corine, you're truly talented!
