Where is me?

Where is me?

A Poem by Cherry
"

Maybe I'm worse off than I thought

"
How is it that you're never here when I need you
I'm hurting and I know you can see.
But my problems don't measure up to yours
So I'm left sinking into this darkness.
Helping you with yours
Her with hers
Them with theirs...
Where is mine?

Can I be okay coping on my own?
Happy one minute and your indifference to me leaves me broken.
Why do I love you so much
when all you do is break.
Break my spirit
Break my joy
Break my happiness
Break Break Break
Break my heart.

What is it to be free?
Free from your negativity
Your hate
Your anger and frustration
Free from your break.
Is the hope that one day I'll be enough for you, enough for me?
Hope, what a funny word.

Not funny haha, more like a joke you know the punchline to
but still chuckle because it's the polite thing to do.
Not that you'd do that.
You don't think I'm funny.
Hope, though, is a joke
with a damp punchline
leaving you moist with disappointment.

Where is me?
Lost in you
and it's my own fault.
