SmileA Poem by Cherry"It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living." F. Scott Fitzgerald -The Beautiful and the Damned-
Bright on her face, lain so ideal
Like rain on tin roof nights One glimpse enough to heart congeal Those ivory pearly whites A day so damned, tis quite a curse Filled with hate and shame You ask yourself, "Could it get worse?" Not with fiery flame. Two rows twinkle, dimpled cheek Lines form by her eyes Tiny nose wrinkle, perfect technique Bringing the worst down to size Perched on her face, right under nose, A beautiful flower grows. © 2018 CherryAuthor's Note
