The SisterA Poem by Carrie Montgomeryfor my cousin, Dawn, on the anniversary of her brother's death...we all miss you Johnny!she frequents the very place where he drew his last breath a haunting in reversal a ghost in life, not of death
she's a ghost of her former self and she'll never be the same instead of time healing her it only brings more pain
some don't understand and probably never will there's an emptiness inside of her that this place can almost fill
she feels his presence stirring 'round in the place that she now haunts she strives to keep his memory alive- lest he be forgot
dreaming her dreams of him crying in the night what she wouldn't give for one last precious sight
so... she frequents the very place where he drew his last breath she's a ghost herself, since her dear brother's death © 2009 Carrie MontgomeryReviews
