for Ms Aliene Tucker, friend and neighbor...who left us all with loving memories to see us through until we go home too.

An Angel Has Gone Home

 

An angel has gone home today

she spread her wings and flew away

she spent a life time here on Earth

to sons and daughters she gave birth

she committed to them with deep devotion

her love for them could span the oceans

nothing could destroy it or take it away

her love was theirs, come what may

self-less and forgiving is how she’s described

everyone wanted to be by her side

her door was always open, never was closed

even to strangers her heart was exposed

only kindness came from Angel Aliene

she never was hurtful, or hateful, or mean

she believed in tradition and the good ol’ days

she passed down wisdom and pride in old ways

hard-working, good-living, strong hands, tender heart

that’s how this angel made living an art

because of all the love she’s leaving behind

she’ll remain forever in our hearts and our minds

an angel has gone home today

she spread her wings and flew away
