Paxton

Paxton

A Poem by Carrie Montgomery
"

for our little doggie...she's a part of the family.

"

fawn-colored fur, with clumps of mud

she hits the floor with a great thud

moving around with her snout to the ground

looking for crumbs until some are found

stubby little legs

and fat little tummy

if you're eating, she gets real chummy

basking in the sunlight

and chasing butterflies

running after birds, sniffing at the sky

our little dog is such a joy

especially to our little boys

Paxton days are filled with love
Getting a tender scratch
In a hard to get area
Surrounded by family
What more could a dog want
Beyond a nice steak or two
For dinner.

Hope your boys appreciated the love and attention that Paxton give to them. Thank you for sharing this tender poem with us.
