Ode to My Husband

Ode to My Husband

A Poem by Carrie Montgomery
"

~ just foolin' around...for a laugh!

"
Husband, Oh, Husband
Where art thou?
The trash is over-flowing
Wilst thou take it out ?

Husband, Dear Husband
Wilst thou help with the dishes?
I am desperately trying
to grant baby's wishes.

Husband, Oh, Husband
Where couldest thou be?
When I called thy name
Did thou quickly flee?

Husband, Dear Husband
Can thou not hearest me calling?
I have already toldest thou,
the trash needs a hauling.

Husband, Oh, Husband
I know thou art hiding
I can read all the clues
thou art providing!

Husband, Dear Husband
Where art thou?
Shirking thy duties?
That cannot be allowed!

Husband, Oh, Husband
Wilst thou be a dear?
When I call thy name,
Please act like thou hear!
