God Contemplates

God Contemplates

A Poem by Carrie Montgomery

Madness flourishes
havoc is everywhere
Darkenss freely flows
touching here and there
The Truth and The Way
are continously rejected
souls are condemned
and carelessly neglected

Furious,
God contemplates The End
He readies the Tempest
He's about to send
A stained crown of thorns
from the corner of His eye
reminds Him of The Covenant
and He breathes a sigh

He begins to smile
Spilling forth His Light
once again existence
makes it through the night

The blood of the precious Lamb
once again has saved us all
perhaps we should wisen up
and heed the Lord's call
