Day By Day (I Keep On)

A daily struggle called life.

Day by day

I keep on

I try to stay strong

I try to stay calm

But the tears come like a hurricane

Driving me to the point of insanity

I'm blown about

No firm footing

No safe haven

I'm strong but know

I don't stand a chance against the storm

I keep on

The wind screaming around me

An echo of my own cries

The torrent pouring down

Drowning in my own tears

Pain and anger and sorrow

Dragging me down

Making my life a nightmare

One known as reality

I keep on

Fighting the tempest that is life

Treading water in uncharted seas

A temporary relief

A lull in the storm

A blessing I long for

I keep on

praying for a safe shore

Clear skies a memory of youth

Now no more than a fantasy

My heart now of heavy burdens laden

Reveries of calmer seas torn from me

The reminiscence of times past

Now seized by the storm

Spirited away beyond my grasp

I keep on

Telling myself

There's rest ahead

Lying to my heart

I strike for a shore I can't see

Where I can only hope to be

I keep on

Knowing that if I don't

I'll yield to the storm

I try desperately

To stay afloat

Day by day

Doing all I can to continue on

Finding reasons to

Keep on

Day by day

First off, I love your description. Absolutely beautiful. You painted a picture with your glossy words. Second, I found a lot of potential areas where you could just change a few words around to make the flow a little more smooth. For examle. "But the tears come like a hurricane" The second line after that could be maybe "Driving me to the point of insane" the transition is smooth and it rhymes too. I really enjoyed your message too. That even though you have all of these trials and tribulations, you are going to keep on keeping on, because life wont stop when you are sad and struggling. You have to keep moving, or you will suffer more, and die. I loved this poem. Great work. Thank you for sharing!

I always look for some chances to criticize you in your stuffs to help you to improve but am really smiling right now because you never leave any chance to let me do this which means, your already improved and you don't have need to be criticized. Now what I get from this write's "Meaning of life" yeah! The meaning of life is fundamentally nothing but doing Struggle to get what a time brings in a suite of opportunities.
