My Lord As I See Him

My Lord As I See Him

A Poem by CreativeCookie
"

Just look to the title. Oh, and in this it has two versions.

"

You may think the Lord hides Himself

But I have seen Him many a time myself

My Lord's eyes are the stars above

The warm sunlight, His constant love

Within the rainbow is His constant smile

His laughter the brook, which bubbles (flows) all the while

His joy in every tree and plant

His intrest in even the smallest ant

His voice in the wind, flowing to and fro

Wispering or roaring where'ere you go

Another Version

You may think the Lord hides Himself

But I have seen Him many a time myself

My Lord's eyes are the stars above

The warm sunlight, His constant love

Within the rainbow His smile lay

His laughter in the brook, flowing on each day

His joy in every animal, tree, and plant

His artistry in even the smallest ant

His voice in the wind, telling you never to fear

For He, in His love, will always be near

Which do you like best, the first or the second? Do you like bits and pieces of them? Ought I to take bits of each and put them together?

What a bright sunshine voice the speaker of the poem here has. I struggle with needing to be a better person at work and have more direction with what I am doing and stuff, versus making a definitive time for worship or devotions. Instead, I have needed to worship through all activities like this, but it is a long process, I don't feel like any of us every gets to the end of it...that is not what you say with the words on the page but that is what it makes me think of just know because of what is going on or has been going on in my life lately outside of the actual praises and psalms we hear of God or read, and it is hard to figure out our Divine Creator surely, for we seek Utopia, Knowledge, Perfection and all that is good and we know that these things are very true and real

You’re a very good writer I really like the choices you created with this poem.

I like the second more only because i like how in the last two lines you brought your ideas into reality. How we can take the idea of God in nature and use it in our lives. Very beautiful.

I liked the first version over the second when I have to choose. Well done and your thoughts are so true and sincere.

Cookiee, i think the IInd version's good. Well, your both versions're very nice and beautiful but as you wanted to know which one's much better so, i'd say, the IInd one's good.. i know both're bit same to each other but in IInd version i've got some depth of words ..

In this line, i've seen a great comparison ...
"His intrest in even the smallest ant" with this "His artistry in even the smallest ant"

which made the IInd one better to understand. The usage of verbs also made some impact making IInd version good. Thanks for writing this poem, I loved by the way both versions :)

I think the second version is better although I like the last two lines of the first version.

For me, the second is better especially in the last two lines.
