After You Leave

Poem is about love lost and the heartache after.

After you leave
Will I still breathe
Or will my heart stop beating?
In darkness grieve
The Love that's freed
And mourn it silently departing?

After you leave
Will skies be blue
Or will gray clouds be dark above?
When Earth receives the pouring rain
As tears fall for a changing Love.

After you leave
Will Time be still
The days and nights shall cease to be?
No hourglass
No hours to kill
No past
No future,
And no memory.

Quite beautiful, and an interesting rhyme scheme that needs to be read slowly. Not an uncommon theme, but certainly different, and more wistful than the norm. Well done.
