Bamboo tree,  you are resilient
With the wind,  so truly patient.
Bending back with every blow
Swaying freely,  strength to show
Although fierce may be the storm
It can never break your form

Author's Note

The Octelle is a poetry form of 8 lines with the rhyme scheme of aa-bb-cc-aa, and syllable pattern of 88-77-77-88 (first two lines repeated as last two lines).
It uses personification and symbolism, and is written in a telling manner.
