Enchanting sight
Can mesmerize the eyes
Soft satin petals hiding well
.... the thorns.

Is this a haiku? I remember briefly studying Japanese poetry, I love how so much is said in a few short lines.

It is a cinquain - the syllabic format is 2-4-6-8-2 with more on nouns and adjectives rather than v.. read more
