The Ransom

Yes,  He will come again in glory
The promise given by His Word,
The King of kings in victory!
Lamb of God and Lord of lords!

With a shout the nations will see
The Lion of Judah comes to reign
As all the wicked in fear will flee
Judgment  will weigh all men by then.

Prepare the way, now  make the choice
Your soul should be ready to trust
Don't harden your heart when you hear His voice
Accept Him as Savior,  that you must.

None of us righteous,  all sinful at birth
Because of this,  on the Cross He died
The Ransom was Jesus, of perfect worth
He took our place and was crucified.

His love is the Way to eternal peace
That which the world can never give -
You wanderings,  sorrow, they will all cease
If you give Him your life and just believe!





"Come to Me all you who are weary and burdened,  and I will give you rest.
Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me,  for I am gentle and  humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls."

Though my salvation was taken from me by my brother's selfish deeds I keep hanging on to the thought that our savior will forgive me of my transgressions unto him and his teachings. I think everyone should find a way back you him and his gift. Well written and a pleasing poem unto someone who is struggling! I thank you!

Thank you J.Todd Underhill and I'm glad my poem touched you. It's true the people closest to us are the ones that hurt us most. Jesus Himself had a friend He knew would betray Him (Judas) and a friend who would deny Him 3 times (Peter) and all His friends deserted Him at the Cross except one (John). God forgives all who come to Him in faith and surrender, because of His Mercy. It's something we cannot deserve by being good or doing good, it is God's gift in Christ because He loves us. In the same way that we are forgiven, we also must forgive because Gods knows when we forgive, we set ourselves free.
I pray that you will receive today His healing grace and find genuine peace, only His love is the perfect, ultimate happiness.
