AmbivalenceA Poem by cynthiabuhainbaelloAmbivalence is saying "No" But all the time meaning a "Yes" A play of masks begins to show An absence of pure Genuineness. Ambivalence seeks to please By never making a stand, It dwells in Neutrality's ease Its choices hard to understand. A pendulum of hidden Ego, A sway of thoughts prevailing, Accepting every concept so It gains prestige by people-pleasing. Ambivalence has payments too For in the end there is Life's scale. We will be weighed by what is true And Ambivalence, in eternity...fails. Cynthia Buhain Baello © 2012 cynthiabuhainbaello |
