A Convenient EscapeA Poem by cynthiabuhainbaelloMan chooses what he becomes - winner or loser. To blame God for everything really, Man does in freedom on this Earth - Is a Convenient Escape, logically, For results that our human actions birth. For all of us were born free to choose, Decide to be king over our Fate, Choices that we do to win or lose, Mark the goals or traps that we create. We are free to rise and maybe soar, Free to wallow in Defeat and Pain, Free to find dreams we are looking for - Free to stand up and begin again. We are not born puppets on some strings, Unable to think and make our move. We were created as intelligent beings! We choose and decide, as our lives prove. Freedom requires Responsibility. God or no God, we will reap what we do! We face consequences inevitably, Some are dreadful and hurting, that's true. So to blame God for all our failings - Or what Man, in Humanity, has become, Is not only denying our Will at deciding On a noble existence, before the end of life comes. Man can never reflect the kind of character God has. From the beginning man was created good but men become what they decide to be. Some people do not believe in God but lead productive and inspiring lives. Therefore not all men are evil, and not all men have despicable characters. Observe how Japan, a nation that worships Buddha, rose from devastation after World War II. Korea was also a nation divided, but clearly South Koreans rose economically as a leader in the Far East. The same thing happened in Singapore and Malaysia, nations of different beliefs and religions yet their people excel. The Philippines, on the other hand, is a nation of fanatically "religious" Catholics, but we are at the bottom world economy because our leaders choose greed. We make our destiny and we choose what we become because of our own choices, God or no God. Cynthia Buhain Baello August 5, 2012 © 2012 cynthiabuhainbaello |
